Using Prep Times in TBS

It is often advantageous to have an indication of the amount of prep work coming up in the near future - to better prepare your workforce and avoid any lack of time to prepare properly for important jobs

By adding a per unit averaged prep time (in seconds) to each stock description, TBS can now give an indication of likely future workloads

Stock Descriptions

We start by adding prep times to our stock descriptions :

We can select multiple similar type items and update their prep times in one go using a Special Menu option : Set Selected Prep Time :

Just to be sure we confirm our action :

And then enter a prep time per each individual unit, shown as a number of seconds (so 10 minutes would be 600 !) :

Clicking on the ok button will update all selected stock descriptions - this should allow you to reasonably quickly get a basic set up going

The same column is also viewable in the browser stock description list :

Bookings

When viewing an individual list of items of a booking in the browser, you will see a column with totalled individual line prep times - here the prep time represents the total units on the line multiplied by the individual prep time per unit :

And when viewing the list of deliveries, the prep time per job is also shown :

This should allow for better planning of human resources by reviewing upcoming delivery requirements
