Saving Financed Equipment Information in TBS2

One of the typical issues involved in asset based rental companies is keeping track of what equipment is 'leased' and what is free of encumberance - TBS has a field for that !! In the Stock Items screen is a field called Finance Code :

The Finance Code field is a very simple 2 character alphanumeric field in which you can keep your own code to differentiate one finance lease from another. The field is fully searchable, to allow rapid and easy access to determine what stock is under finance and what is not.

Further, the Special menu of the Stock Items list contains an entry 'Update Selected Finance' which allows you to select multiple items of stock and in one go, change the Finance Code of all selected stock items (so at the start or end of a finance agreement) :
